ECOWINEEXPERIENCE Violone

Walk through the vineyards, olive grove and Etruscan tomb where our sparkling wine matures. At 12:00 you are our welcome guests. During the estate walk we tell you about our sustainability projects; you will meet Jane, our beautiful donkey mascot, and enter the ancestral cave: a 2,500-year-old Etruscan tomb (a journey through time where layers of lapilli and ash from eruptions of Lake Bolsena volcano 850,000, 500,000 and 350,000 years ago are still visible), where our Metodo Classico Ancestrale sparkling wine patiently matures. Then, walking to the winery among nature and works of art, we explain organic winemaking and our commitment to quality wines while respecting the environment and the community that hosts us. Finally we invite you to your table for a wine tasting paired with gourmet products we make ourselves, with our wine always centre stage.

The highlight will be a tasting of different vintages of our two Violone wines side by side. Each guest will have two glasses to taste the two vintages first of our Castiglionero (Violone in stainless steel) and then Gocce Riserva (two years in barrique), our multi-award-winning wine, best wine in Lazio and Slow Wine 2013. You can appreciate its longevity and great ageing potential.
